My mother started teaching me how to sew when I was in elementary school. I learned a bit more in a home economics class in middle school, but didn’t really get into it until some time in high school. I even ventured to make my own prom dress, which I did wear to prom, but wasn’t the product I had envisioned.
Since then I have tried my hand at baby quilts, a couple doll dresses, and a few items for myself. I hope my work has improved, as I still enjoy this hobby. For now it will remain a hobby, not my next phase in gainful employment.
